Unmanned Aircraft

The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission is continually monitoring the ongoing activities of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) industry. The Director of the commission serves on the authority that oversees the Northern Plains Unmanned Aircraft Systems test site and serves on a national UAS advisory committee. The side links are provided to help provide more information on the current regulatory environment of the UAS industry as well as more information on North Dakota’s UAS test site.

The video below was filmed at the Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium in Minot, ND on March 5, 2017. This presentation is valuable for those interested in starting to fly unmanned aircraft as a hobby, or for commercial use.
