The Enderlin – Skyhaven Airport has received the “2017 General Aviation Airport of the Year” award. The award was presented on March 6th, 2018 at the Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium held in Fargo. The award is sponsored by the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission in partnership with the Airport Association of North Dakota. This award is for excellence in maintaining safety, project management, and community awareness.

On Sunday, March 4th fourteen pilots were presented with awards for participating in the “Fly North Dakota Airports” Passport Program. The passport program presents awards to pilots for flying to airports in the state as well as attending FAA Safety Seminars and visiting the two North Dakota Air Museums.

The North Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame committee has announced the name of an individual recently selected to be inducted in the ND Aviation Hall of Fame. The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of March 6th, at the Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium banquet in Fargo, ND. Rod Brekken will join the prestigious aviation hall of fame group that currently includes 42 other individuals who have all had a significant impact to aviation in North Dakota.
