Busiest July on Record for North Dakota Air Travel

(Bismarck, ND) – The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission (NDAC) has released its monthly report detailing airline passenger traffic at the state's eight commercial service airports.
North Dakota airports had their busiest July on record as passenger boarding numbers reached 112,141 passengers for the month. This surpasses the previous record of 111,209 passengers that was set in July, 2014.
This month's figures also represent a significant year-over-year growth of 12,693 boardings, which is a 13% increase compared to July, 2023.
“The rising passenger numbers continue to be a positive indicator of the confidence travelers have in our airports and the broader economic outlook of North Dakota,” said Kyle Wanner, Executive Director of the NDAC.
July Passenger Records:
- The Fargo Hector International Airport achieved a new monthly passenger record with 48,344 passenger boardings. The previous record for the airport for the month of July was set in 2023 with 44,902 passengers.
- The Devils Lake Airport also achieved a new monthly passenger record with 1,050 passenger boardings. The previous record for the airport for the month of July was set in 2023 with 1,032 passengers

- Available Airline Departure Seats: 134,510
- Average Aircraft Load Factor: 83%
- Number of Successful Airline Departure Flights: 1,649
- Number of Airline Departure Flight Cancellations: 7
- Airline Departure Flight Cancellation Rate: 0.4%
